    Flood Risk Information System (FRIS)

    To improve the communication and dissemination of this data and information, ESP developed an integrated web-based system for storing and displaying natural hazard risks to the public, community officials and decision makers. FRIS combines robust enterprise geodatabases, natural hazard risk datasets and loss estimate procedures to enable the assessment of flood hazard risk at the building level.

  • GIS Parcel and Building Footprints

    GIS Parcel and Building Footprints

    ESP developed a GIS parcel and building footprint conflation routine to validate parcel information for high risk buildings. This project collected cadastral information for each study county and normalized the information statewide. ESP updated and validated this parcel information for buildings at a high risk of damages from flood, wind, earthquake, tornado, and wildfire using available tax parcel mapping systems, as well as street view capabilities form applications such as Google Earth.

  • Integrated Hazard Risk Management GIS

    Integrated Hazard Risk Management GIS

    ESP has developed countywide multi-hazard risk assessments across the State of North Carolina. These risk assessments are conducted on the building level and involve a detailed process of geospatial building footprint development, attribution, and analysis with derived natural hazard susceptibility data sources.

    FIMAN  provides real-time flood inundation mapping to the general public, law enforcement, NCEM staff and emergency managers to prepare for and respond to flood events in real-time.

    Rio Hondo Watershed ArcGIS Online Tracking

    ESP developed an ArcGIS online tracking site supporting concurrence from FEMA Region VI for the BLE analysis for the Rio Hondo watershed. This site tracked progress of the completed waterways for specific tasks, enabling our client  to quickly communicate project status to FEMA Region VI.
