In 1986, ESP Associates, Inc. was founded to answer the increasing demand for “under one roof” engineering, surveying, and planning services. Merging the firms of Catawba Land Surveys and King, Stewart, & Associates, ESP began as one North Carolina office with 25 employees. Since then, our firm has steadily grown into a team of five companies with over 750 employees in 33 offices across 10 states.
Every step of the journey, ESP has introduced value-added services, capabilities, and locations to better serve our clients. From our earliest years, ESP has successfully maintained state and federal contracts through our dedication to quality, integrity, and service. For NCDOT, we have maintained an on-call surveying contract since 1991 as well as contracts for geotechnical and geophysical services and construction engineering and inspection. In addition to serving local governments like Mecklenburg County Storm Water, our water resources department has also supported FEMA projects since 2008 and served the State of North Carolina’s Floodplain Mapping Program since 2009.
