Brownfields Site Redevelopment
For this project, a former commercial/ industrial property was redeveloped into a 309-unit multi-family residential complex along the LYNX Blue Line.
ESP provided a Phase I ESA and several Phase II EAs for groundwater and soil gas as well as performed asbestos surveys for structure demolition and post-construction/ preoccupancy testing of indoor air and surface soil to confirm vapor intrusion mitigation system effectiveness.
Our team also assisted the client to obtain a fast-tracked Brownfields Agreement, which included preparation of Environmental Management and Vapor Intrusion Mitigation Plans, and an NPDES permit for the discharge of treated groundwater associated with long-term site dewatering.
