    LADOTD I-10 Scanning

    ESP supported NTB Associates on LADOTD'sfirst-ever highway improvement project to use mobile LiDAR scanning technology. ESP scanned both eastbound and westbound lanes on I-10 to extract road surface and visible assets. ESP provided the extracted data to LDOT standards.

    Improvements to the NC 540 interchange will improve access and roadway connectivity. ESP provided foundation design recommendations and subsurface investigations to aid in the design of the project, in-field geotechnical engineering and foundation bearing verification, surveying, and subsurface utility engineering.

    ESP has provided survey, SUE, scanning and hydrographic surveying services for multiple Departments of Transportation, including a 26-year uninterrupted on-call surveying contract with NCDOT. We have worked as prime or sub-consultants for surveying to the WVDOH, WYDOT, ALDOT, TxDOT, PennDOT, MODOT, LaDOT, WisDOT and NJDOT.

    Bridge Scour Surveys

    ESP performed an interferometric hydrographic survey to determine scour conditions around the bridge bents. Survey was conducted using ESP’s hydrographic survey vessel “Eridanus” equipped with Edgetech’s 6205 dual frequency bathymetric/side scan sonar and Applanix POS MV 320 Inertial-Aided Real-Time Kinematic technology.

    Subsidence assessments investigate potential causes of distress features observed on State DOT roadways. ESP provides geotechnical engineering, geophysical testing, and the installation and monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation to determine probable causes of failures and provide recommendations for remediation and repair.
