    ESP has provided survey, SUE, scanning and hydrographic surveying services for multiple Departments of Transportation, including a 26-year uninterrupted on-call surveying contract with NCDOT. We have worked as prime or sub-consultants for surveying to the WVDOH, WYDOT, ALDOT, TxDOT, PennDOT, MODOT, LaDOT, WisDOT and NJDOT.

    Statewide Transportation On-Call CEI

    ESP’s is contracted by state DOTs to provide construction engineering inspection (CEI) services for various heavy highway projects, including grading, paving, widening, utility relocations, storm drains, intersection improvements, resurfacing, extensions, bridge removal and replacement, new highways, and new bridges/interchanges.

    Statewide Geiger-mode LiDAR

    ESP is supporting this first in the nation statewide update for Geiger-mode LiDAR data collection and processing and the generation of Hydro DEM raster products. The project design was developed to ensure that the acquired LiDAR data meet or exceeds the requirements for the current USGS Quality Level 1 (QL1) and State LiDAR Specifications.

    ESP is contracted with a State Department of Environmental Quality, Pre-Regulatory Landfill Unit to assess and mitigate pre-1983 landfills and dump sites to assist the state in achieving their goals of improving select areas of past, abandoned waste.

    ESP has maintained an on-call contract for geotechnical engineering services with the NCDOT Geotechnical Engineering Group since 2012 and has also provided geotechnical engineering services for numerous teams for express design-build bridge projects throughout the state of North Carolina.

    ESP provided on-call cadastral, GPS and hydrographic surveying services for state projects for the North Carolina State Port Authority.

  • Fort Mill School District Bus Maintenance Facility

    Fort Mill School District Bus Maintenance Facility

    For Fort Mill School District, ESP provided site design, landscape architecture, construction documents, and bidding administration for a new 14-acre bus maintenance facility within a Planned Development zone. The site includes a 14,332 square-foot office building with parking for 125 employees; a 5,882 square-foot bus maintenance building with fueling station, car wash bay, and parking for 166 buses; a roadway extension within the York County roadway system; and accompanying infrastructure and utilities. ESP submitted plans for the site, grading, roadway, landscape, and erosion control to York County, Fort Mill School District, SCDOT, Duke Energy, AT&T, and the Department of Education Office of School Facilities.
