NCDOT Bridges & Roadways
The $450-million-dollar Monroe Expressway improves mobility and capacity within the project area by allowing for high-speed regional travel while also maintaining access to retail, commercial, and employment centers along the US 74 corridor.
This North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) project extends nearly 20 miles from US 74 near I-485 in Mecklenburg County to US 74 between the towns of Wingate and Marshville in Union County and will use electronic tolling similar to the Triangle Expressway.
For this project, ESP served as a sub-consultant to provide construction engineering & inspection and construction materials testing for bridges and roadway.
