Construction-Phase Services
This new monument was constructed at the entrance of Charlotte Douglas International Airport at the intersection of Wilkinson Boulevard and Josh Birmingham Parkway in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The structure consists of concrete foundation walls and grade beams supported upon shallow foundations. In addition, the two existing storm drain drop inlets were modified with a concrete cap and structural masonry walls supported on shallow foundations.
During construction of this monument, ESP provided Special Inspections and materials testing for soils, foundations, reinforced concrete, and reinforced masonry.
