Survey and SUE Crew Personnel Survey and SUE Crew Personnel Needed
Personnel for survey crews and SUE crews are needed in our office in Raleigh NC. Associate degree or higher in surveying technology/geomatics, civil engineering, or related field and registration as a SIT preferred, but not required. 5 - 10 years experience in land surveying preferred. Candidate will be required to demonstrate strong management and organizational skills while running a field crew for work both in and/or out of town. Experience with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, and robotic total stations a plus. Utility designating and research experience for SUE positions required. DOT and route survey experience a plus. Computer skills involved in the submittal of daily files including downloading of data, preparation/organization of field sketches & digital photographs, completion of daily checklists & timesheets, and vehicle navigation are required. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Streets & Trips, and Trimble Data Transfer a plus. Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy. Some positions may involve travel in eastern US. Survey Crew Chief This position will be located in our corporate office in Fort Mill, SC. Associate degree or higher in surveying technology/geomatics, civil engineering, or related field and/or registration as a SIT or PLS preferred, but not required. 5 ? 10 years experience in land surveying preferred. Candidate will be required to demonstrate strong management and organizational skills while running a field crew locally in providing various conventional land surveying projects. Position requires comprehensive knowledge of GPS surveying including static, fast static, RTK, and VRS. Experience with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, and robotic total stations a required. Computer skills involved in the submittal of daily files including downloading of data, preparation/organization of field sketches & digital photographs, completion of daily checklists & timesheets, and vehicle navigation are required. Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager Senior Civil Engineer with a Bachelors or Masters degree and 4+ yrs experience in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing oversight needed for our Columbia, South Carolina operations. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: technical analysis and reporting, providing oversight of field staff, providing senior engineering consultation for field related concerns, and performing project management duties. Position expectations include technical expertise in some or all of the following: shallow and deep foundation analysis; slope stability analysis, pavement design and analysis, construction materials testing procedures, special inspection procedures and requirements, etc. In addition, the candidate will be expected to have strong communication skills and be experienced in all phases of a project including: proposal preparation, managing and/or performing of field engineering and testing, engineering analysis, report writing, consultation, invoice preparation, client contact and correspondence. Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required in Columbia and optional in Fort Mill. ESP Associates, P.A is seeking two very creative and self-motivated Landscape Architect/ Designer/ Land Planners for full-time positions in our Fort Mill, SC / south Charlotte office.
Mid-entry level (2-4 yrs.) and intermediate level (4-7 yrs.) of experience in commercial, residential, and parks/ recreation planning with emphasis in preparing master/site plans, details and hardscape, hand drawn and computer renderings, landscape planting plans, construction plan documents, cost estimates, and performing other project related activities. Preferred to have at least 1-2 year?s experience working in land development design and permitting, and communicating with relevant regulatory agencies.
Applicants should be creative and outgoing with good verbal and graphic presentation skills, organizational skills, ability to excel in a team environment, creative problem solving and conceptual design skills. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Photoshop, InDesign, ArcView/GIS and MS Office are all highly recommended. Education - BLA/BSLA, preferably with North or South Carolina Registration and/or AICP certification.
